Like the common round Rolet squash but this one has deep grooves in it and a bit of elongation, making it not quite as round as the Rolet. The yellow flesh will turn a deep orange in storage. A good tasting variety with firm flesh, use just as you would a normal gemsquash.

Early Crookneck Squash - Cucurbita ssp - 12 Seeds

This plant has a bush type habit with a main stem that will elongate as the plant ages and fruits are picked. A yellow fruit with a bulge on one end and a slightly bent neck. The fruit is about 15-16cm long. Keep picking them to ensure continuous harvesting. Use in much the same way as zucchini (baby marrows). This squash produces well when looked after properly and planted in fertile soil.

An heirloom from 1898 with a slightly warted skin and teardrop shape. The flesh is a deep orange. 95-110 days to maturity under good care. Can take a few days longer to germinate than the green hubbard but once germinated catches up easily and is a vigorous grower.
